I have some gold that I’m not planning to sell, but I may need some extra funds for a while, so I started looking into a JS Bank gold loan. I’m not very familiar with how gold-backed financing works, though, and I’m wondering how the bank decides the value of the gold and how the repayment is handled. I’d also like to know what kind of paperwork is involved and whether there are any charges that I should be aware of from the beginning. If someone has actually used this option, I’d appreciate hearing how the experience was.
