Hi

I am moving my 2 horses to a new yard next month. The stables are brick and in a traditional layout (not barn style). They get hit with direct sunlight during the day and are therefore very hot when the horses come in from the paddocks in the afternoon (they are in paddocks from 7:30am-3pm)

I am considering putting fans in each stable to provide some relief from the heat and humidity during summer. I have read that cheap domestic fans are not ideal as they easily burn out and are a fire hazard.

Could any of you advise the following

1. If you have used fans in your stable before and where you bought them from (Please supply contacts if in KZN)

2. What type of fans are safe for stables?

3. Where should they be placed in the stable?

4. How did it affect your electricity bill?

Thank you
