In this double DVD, Andrew Hoy explains and demonstrates his four by four approach to horsemanship and the sport of eventing. The four by four method involves four things the rider teaches the horse (go forward, stop, turn right and turn left), and four means by which the rider communicates with the horse (hands, seat, legs and eyes). In the first video, the four by four approach is used to work a novice and a more experienced horse including different gaits, introducing the horses to jumps, maintaining the rhythm of the gait and jumping cross-country fences.
