If this is the book I am thinking about, then mine looks different
GUYS - this is the BEST BOOK ever
I use it truly all the time and have yet to be proven wrong - personality is what is true, if the horse does not behave accordingly there is pain or stuck emotions.
I challenge you to send me pics of your horse head - front with ears pointed forwards and looking at you and full profile and I will give you a brief write up on your horses personality.

Ginger
We look at the overall face, ears, eyes, jowl, mouth, nostrils and whorls on the forehead..
What I see:
Dependable and uncomplicated character, good intelligence, but sometimes requires a lesson or new teaching to be repeated (not due to lack of intelligence, I also need things repeated until I understand them in my context ). Strongish character, you should have some disagreements and she lets you know her opinion, but will always cooperate with you.Ginger may have been a bit aloof or standoffish in the beginning, once she has trusted you she will and is willing and cooperative, alert and open to new things.
Her mouth in the picture shows a lot of wrinkles, which might just be that moment, if these wrinkles are ALWAYS there, she may experience pain in her body or hold back emotionally (if the latter is true and you work on it, through TTouch for example, you may find a horse, who is much more loveable and wanting to have contact).`

Let me know what you think.

Hi Elka,
In some places you are quite right! And some are a bit not quite right right!
Ginger was very nappy when I got him but was soon sorted out (incidentaly by Tanya 007)He was always been a very 'cuddly horse' and catches on to new things quite quick.
He is a sweet horse, gentle and incredibly lazy when on his own, refusing to canter, and a powerhouse in company, cantering happily.( he lives with my mare and filly foal, a mini gelding and a little pony gelding) He squeals when another horse just gives him a sideways look and is a real baby at times. He whinneys when he sees me and really looks after me.
He couldnt be more loveable and loves to be touched and handled, going up to him the field and hugging him is just an everyday occurance. I tease my friends all the time that I am going to sell him but he is one of those horses that come once a lifetime!
And I sometimes think the only pain he suffers at times is me!!!!!

Hi Beverley
Great to hear that he turned into everything he promised to be .. pics are a snapshot, as I said it might be the day, that skews it.
But Linda does give an idea of the personality.
And you definitely have a boy, who will look after you
