Women Are from Venus and So Are Their Horses: A Grown Man's Musings on the Opposite Sex in the Saddle

With an insider’s view of the woeful plight of the male connected to a devoted horsewoman, this wryly humorous confessional tells it like it is. The world of horsemanship is teeming with women and girls who are obsessed with their trusty steeds. Often, fathers or husbands are involved as well, many having been unwittingly dragged into this alternate reality of stables, horse trailers, and arenas. Anyone who has spent time with a horse, a horsewoman, or a “horse husband” will delight in the sharply comic observations in this book.

“At times, [the] characterizations are painful; most of them make you laugh out loud - and nearly all of them really hit the mark. Any horse-lover, from beginner to professional, is bound to take this book personally at some point.”
~ Tineke Bartels, international dressage rider and coach

I read this last night (trying to work through a whole pile of books) and I'm really not a "laugh out loud at books kind of person, but this one had me in hysterics.

It's translated from the original Dutch, but that doesn't make any difference whatsoever, probably helps - it is INSANELY funny!!

I know what all my horsey friends are getting as presents next birthdays
