| Details | One of our site admins recently visited the Highveld Horse Care Unit and had this to say in her blog: (See http://www.neigh-bours.co.za/plugins/blog_menu/comment.php?rid=1426) "I *love* going to the HHCU. Everyone thinks it must be this sad, depressing place with beat up horses and miserable people. Nothing could be further from the truth. As we got out of the car, we get greeted by Bev's pack of pavement specials - all WAY happy to see us Then the (glossy, helathy) horses & donkeys all look up and look pleased to see us .. and the stray cats that now live there come out to say hi with Bev. On the way in, we stop to say hello to the sweetest monster - a HUGE 17h TB who's in box rest for laminitis, poor boy - and he's just the cuddliest, sweetest horse... lots of lovvies. Then big howzit from Bobbie and Nadia and Ashley, and we sit and chat a bit and shoot the breeze before getting down to a business lunch. This is a HAPPY place. You should go visit  "So .. we'll go visit! Entry fee: I pkt carrots or apples  Bring a packed picnic lunch and a picnic blanket!
