This year, Valentines Day brings the start of the Horse of the Year Show, South Africa's showcase event for breeding and showing. It takes place at Kyalami Equestrian Park from Tuesday 14th to Sunday 19th February, and has the best of breed compete within their categories and finally against each other, across all classes. Eighteen months later Joe and Barry arrived in Grahamstown having retraced the hoof prints of Dick Kings legendary 950 km ride from Durban: 10 days of exhaustion, pain, inspiring adventure and discovery about themselves, their horses and their country.
