Christine invites you to come and chat with her online, and ask everything you always wanted to know about barefoot trimming! ----------------- THE TRIMMER ----------------- My name is Christine Blackett and I currently own 3 horses. I have been riding and competing in dressage and jumping on and off for the past 13 years and I finally managed to buy my first horse in 2005. It was shortly after this that I learned about barefoot trimming through Equinextion.com and began trimming my own horses' hooves. Over the years I took on a number of clients and am now responsible for the trims of approximately 40 horses each month. In 2008 I qualified as an Equine Body Worker and have since completed and passed the Equine Body Worker Advanced Techniques Level 1 course. It is my plan to complete future courses through EquiworkSA and hopefully some day complete the hoof trimming courses which Equinextion.com offers in America. Over the years, I have trained and worked with a number of horses competing in disciplines such as dressage, showjumping, polocrosse and racing. I particularly enjoy working with young horses or re-training older horses. My main interest is classical dressage and I enjoy and follow the work of Marijke de Jong and Bent Branderup. At the moment I do not compete on my own horses but spend a lot of time schooling dressage at home. I have regular lessons with my good friend and fellow dressage-enthusiast Lara de Lange, as well as top dressage rider Hennie Maree. Apart from my dressage and jumping interests, I have a large passion for transitioning Thoroughbreds off the track from their artificial lifestyle to a more "natural" lifestyle living outdoors in a herd. ------------------- HOW TO CHAT ------------------- If you're not sure what to do, or get stuck following the instructions below, email info@neigh-bours.co.za and we'll help you get online and attending :) All you have to do is: Step 1: Log onto http://www.neigh-bours.co.za/ from the time given Step 2: Click "Online Chat" in the main menu (if you can't see it, you're not logged in!)
