Shaneen Phillips invites you to come and chat with her online, and ask everything you always wanted to know about barefoot trimming! ----------------- THE EVENTER ----------------- SHANEEN PHILLIPS started riding at the age of 4yrs old and has ridden at every single opportunity since: I compete across all the disiciplines, I showjump, have competed up to Medium dressage, have also showed, winning the Avis Derby Working horse 1996, Standing Reserve Horse of the Year and Reserve SA Champ. Have represented Gauteng in both Eventing and Showing. And represented regional teams in all the disciplines, incl equitation, dressage, showjumping, eventing and showing every year for many years. I started eventing 12 years ago, when all my friends wanted to rather event than showjump, so I took my poor frightened showjumper off to event and just loved it! Decided that I wanted to do this more seriously and bought myself an "Event horse." I evented Bright Night and several other over the years, and competed Bright up to Open Level. He has subsequently died and I now have a very talented but quirky thoroughbred who is the bravest horse in the country, just not always an angel in the dressage. He has recently qualified to jump 1 Star * and I have very high hopes for him that he will go to the top.
